Nico Rosberg (pictured) takes pole for 2014 British Grand Prix at Silverstone
Nico Rosberg has taken pole position for tomorrow’s 2014 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, but team mate Lewis Hamilton made a complete mess of final qualifying and will start 6th in the race. Hamilton decided that his final run wasn’t quick enough and aborted it because he was a bit down in the first two sectors, but the rest of the track had dried out more, and if he’d carried on with his lap he would have almost certainly have taken pole. Behind Rosberg, Sebastian Vettel put his Red Bull in second place and McLaren’s Jenson Button took third followed by Nico Hulkenberg in the Force India and Kevin Magnussen in the second McLaren.
New MINI teased in competition to attend the reveal
It may be a few more weeks until the new MIN I is unveiled – 18th November, Sir Alec Issigonis’ birthday – but MINI is already upping the tease with a new competition. The reveal of the new MINI is scheduled to happen simultaneously at events in London, Los Angels and Shanghai and MINI are offering the chance to get an invite to one of the three reveals for three lucky winners. The Saab 9-4X Production Car rolls out of GM's plant in Mexico
I seem to remember we did a similar headline to ‘Saab 9-4X Rolls Out’ almost exactly a year ago. But that headline – when Saab built 147 9-4X models at GM’s plant in Mexico - was for crash-testing and other pre-production requirements. This roll out of the 9-4X is the real deal.
